Mary Kersell
Mary Kersell paints contemporary oil and watercolour landscapes that balance realism with abstraction. Her goal is to evoke an emotional response that transports the viewer to their own sense of time and place. By simplifying shapes, while exploring paint application and layering techniques, she achieves an abstracted result that conveys the essence of nature: its complexity and beauty. Inspired by the vast expanse of sky, sea and land, her paintings emphasize balance, harmony and calm. She invites viewers to engage in slow observation and quiet contemplation of these landscapes.
