Lynn Ellis
Lynn Ellis is a fine art photographer living and working in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada. She has been photographing for 50 years recently receiving a Masters of Fine Art from Maine Media College in Rockport Maine, US in 2019. Although a busy professional she always found time for her beloved photography. She has shown locally, nationally and internationally.
Her art can be summed up by the phrase “silent voice”. There are many ways this voice is spoken through her images, the self portraiture, the sublime landscape images in the fog, the quiet images of the submerged wedding dress. All contain the elements of stillness and quiet. Solitude. Calm.
She likes to say that she makes images about things, not of things. She loves to evoke the emotion of the viewer.
